This painting is the prototype for the series "Spontaneous Deliberation". It established streamlined production parameters through scale, a limited palette, and painting surface; technical focus on brush marks and paint density; and a conceptual exploration of the duality of expression and restraint. There are three subsets in this series – red, green and blue (RGB) – with 6 paintings each.
"Reds 1" was produced on bristol board. It is meant to be matted and framed under glass or acrylic.
